CLEANING INFORMATION

YOUR EQUIPMENT & CADDY
FRESHOLOGY WILL PROVIDE ALL OF YOUR CLEANING SUPPLIES & EQUIPMENT TO CARRY OUT CLEANING SERVICES. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CLEANING EQUIPMENT YOU ARE PROVIDED WITH. WE EXPECT YOU TO REGULARLY MONITOR THE CONTENT OF YOUR CADDY AND REPORT TO US WHEN YOU REQUIRE A RESTOCK (YOU CAN ORDER SUPPLIES ON THE STAFF ACCESS PAGE)
YOUR VACUUM CLEANER MUST BE EMPTIED REGULARLY. AND REPLACED WITH A NEW BAG AND VACUUM SMELLY.
ANY DAMAGE TO VACUUM CLEANERS MUST BE REPORTED. PLEASE AVOID VACUUMING ANYTHING THAT COULD POTENTIALLY BLOCK OR DAMAGE THE VACUUM AS WE MAY CHARGE YOU FOR REPAIRING THE DAMAGE OR REPLACEMENT.

KEYS
IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO KEEP ANY KEYS SAFE ONCE YOU HAVE CHECKED THEM OUT OF OUR OFFICE. IF KEYS ARE LOST YOU WILL BE LIABLE TO PAY FOR ANY LOCK CHANGES. THE LOSS OF MASTER KEYS HOLD AN EXCESSIVE CHARGE OF UPTO £10,000. OUR CLIENTS WILL PROVIDE DETAILS OF COSTS.
KEYS MUST NEVER BE TAKEN HOME WITH YOU. THEY MUST BE RETURNED BACK TO OUR OFFICE OR HANDED TO A MANAGER.
IN SOME CIRCUMSTANCES YOU MAY BE ASKED TO COLLECT KEYS FROM A LETTING/ESTATE AGENTS. YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THESE KEYS WHILE IN YOUR POSSESSION.
ONCE YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE CLEAN, PLEASE RETURN THE KEYS BACK TO THE OFFICE THEY WERE COLLECTED FROM.

RESPECTING PREMISES
WE EXPECT YOU TO RESPECT & TAKE CARE OF OUR CLIENTS PROPERTY WHEN CLEANING. WE HAVE A NO LOUD NOISE POLICY WHICH MEANS, NO LOUD MUSIC FROM YOUR VEHICLE, NO MUSIC PLAYED DURING ANY CLEAN INCLUDING HEADPHONES FOR HEALTH & SAFETY PURPOSES.
IF YOUR FOOTWEAR IS WET OR DIRTY FROM OUTDOORS YOU MUST WEAR SHOE COVERS ON ENTERING TO PREVENT ANY DAMAGE TO FLOORING.

PPE (personal protective equipment)
ON EVERY CLEAN YOU MUST WEAR PROTECTIVE GLOVES. FRESHOLOGY WILL PROVIDE ADDITIONAL PPE SUCH AS, DISPOSABLE APRONS, FACE MASKS & FACE GUARDS.

WASTE REMOVAL
COMMERCIAL/OFFICES:
WASTE MUST BE DISPOSED OF IN WASTE AREAS INSTRUCTED BY THE CLIENT
DOMESTIC PROPERTIES:
ALL WASTE SHOULD BE PUT INTO BLACK BAGS AND LEFT IN THE GARDEN OF THE PROPERTY. IF THE PROPERTY HAS NO GARDEN, PLEASE LEAVE AS CLOSE TO THE PROPERTY AS POSSIBLE BUT NOT BLOCKING ANY ENTRANCES.
YOU MUST REPORT TO US THE AMOUNT OF BAGS YOU HAVE LEFT SO THAT WE CAN ARRANGE COLLECTION.

REPORTING & PHOTO EVIDENCE
TO PREVENT ANY DELAYS IN YOUR WAGES WE EXPECT YOU TO TAKE PHOTOGRAPHIC EVIDENCE OF THE CLEANS IN AS MUCH DETAIL AS POSSIBLE. WE NEED THIS AS PROOF FOR CLIENTS IF THEY DISPUTE THE CLEANING SERVICE. IF YOU COME ACROSS ANY FAULTS IN A PROPERTY PLEASE TAKE PHOTOS OR VIDEOS OF THE FAULTS & REPORT THEM TO US AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
ONCE YOU SEND US THE PHOTOS/VIDEOS VIA WHATSAPP YOU CAN THEM DELETE THEM AS WE STORE IMAGES FOR UPTO 2 MONTHS.
THIS HELPS US DISPUTE ANY UNPAID RECALLS.
COLOUR CODED CLEANING SYSTEM:
WE USE THIS CLEANING SYSTEM TO PREVENT ANY CROSS- CONTAMINATION WHILE CLEANING. IT IS MANDATORY THAT YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT COLOURED EQUIPMENT TO USE. IF AT ANY POINT YOU FORGET, PLEASE REFER BACK TO THIS PAGE OR ASK A MEMBER OF STAFF.
CLEAN THE FRESHOLOGY WAY

VACUUMING
WE USE HENRY/NUVAC VACUUM CLEANERS TO CARRY OUT CLEANS. WE EXPECT YOU TO USE THE VACUUM TO COLLECT DIRT AND DUST ON CARPETED FLOORING & IN SOME CIRCUMSTANCES HARD FLOORING.
THE VACUUM CAN ALSO BE USED FOR HARD TO REACH AREAS LIKE CEILINGS AND BEHIND FURNITURE.
OUR RULE IS TO LOOK UP & DOWN WHILE VACUUMING JUST IN CASE THERE ARE COBWEBS OR DUST IN ANY CORNERS THAT ARE HARD TO REACH.

WIPING/DUSTING
ALL REACHABLE AREAS MUST BE WIPED AND DUSTED.
WINDOW CLEANING: SPRAY SOLUTION ONTO WINDOW. USING A CLOTH OR BLUE ROLL, WIPE IN AN “S” MOTION FROM THE TOP OF THE WINDOW TO THE BOTTOM. THEN COLLECTING ALL THE DEBRIS AND DIRT FROM THE EDGES BY WIPING AROUND THE EDGE FOLLOWING THE SHAPE OF THE WINDOW.
SURFACES: ALWAYS WIPE A SURFACE FROM THE FURTHEST AWAY TOWARDS YOU. THIS WILL ALLOW ALL OF THE DIRT & DEBRIS TO COLLECT AT THE EGDE OF THE SURFACE. YOU CAN THEN TURN THE CLOTH TO A CLEAN SIDE AND WIPE IN ONE DIRECTION TO COLLECT THE DIRT AND DEBRIS.

CLOTHS/SPONGES
WE WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH DIFFERENT TYPES OF CLOTHS & SPONGES TO ALLOW YOU TO CARRY OUT YOUR CLEANS EFFICIENTLY. SOME SURFACES WILL BE STRAIGHTFORWARD, HOWEVER OTHER SURFACES WILL REQUIRE A MORE ABRASIVE APPROACH.
PLEASE BE MINDFUL OF THE SURFACES YOU ARE CLEANING AND WHAT WILL BE REQUIRED TO CLEAN WITH.
EXAMPLE: SOME SURFACES WILL SCRATCH EASILY WITH A SCOURER, SO PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS TO PREVENT DAMAGE.

CLEANING PRODUCTS
YOU WILL HAVE A RANGE OF PRODUCTS WITHIN YOUR CADDY TO USE DURING YOUR CLEAN. IN MOST CASES WE WILL PROVIDE MULTI PURPOSE CLEANER THAT CAN BE USED IN MOST AREAS, HOWEVER SOME SURFACES MAY NEED A DIFFERENT SUBSTANCE.
WE WILL LET YOU KNOW WHAT PRODUCTS ARE AVAILABLE AND WHAT THEY ARE USED BEST FOR.

TO PREVENT THE SPREAD OF GERMS, WE PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO TOUCH POINT AREAS (AREAS REGULARLY TOUCHED BY PEOPLE) WE EXPECT YOU TO IDENTIFY THESE POINTS.

DEEP CLEANS ARE FOR PROPERTIES THAT REQUIRE MORE ATTENTION.

INTERIOR WINDOW & FRAME CLEANING
DEEP CLEAN OF BATHROOM INCLUDING SHOWER SCREENS & FITTINGS
IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU CAN IDENTIFY THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A SPARKLE & DEEP CLEAN WHEN INSIDE OF A PROPERTY.

AFTER BUILD/RENOVATION CLEAN
WHEN IT COMES TO AFTER BUILDS AND RENOVATED PREMISES, ATTENTION TO DETAIL IS MANDATORY. IN MOST CASES, EVERYTHING IS BRAND NEW,HOWEVER CONTRACTORS CARRYING OUT THE WORKS LEAVE A LOT OF MESS THAT NEEDS CLEANING. THIS MEANS GETTING EVERYTHING BACK TO A BRAND NEW CONDITION. E.G PAINT ON WINDOWS OR BATHROOM TAPS WILL NEED TO BE REMOVED. FRESHOLOGY WILL PROVIDE YOU WILL ADDITIONAL TOOLS TO HELP CLEAN AND REMOVE MINOR DEFECTS.

PREPARATION
ON ARRIVAL, OPEN THE OVEN TO CHECK THE LEVEL OF CLEAN IT REQUIRES. OVENS ARE THE MOST TIME CONSUMING SO APPLYING OVEN CLEANER BEFOREHAND WILL SAVE TIME.
CHECK BATHROOMS IN CASE THEY MAY ALSO NEED PREPPING BEFORE CLEANING. YOU COULD SPRAY SHOWER SCREENS IF THEY ARE REALLY DIRTY OR POUR BLEACH IN THE TOILET TO REMOVE STUBBORN STAINS.

WE UNDERSTAND THAT SOMETIMES THINGS CAN BE MISSED. TO AVOID RECALLS, WE ADVISE YOU TO GO AROUND THE PROPERTY TO DO A FINAL CHECK. THIS WILL HELP YOU & YOUR TEAM (IF APPLICABLE) TO PICK UP ON ANYTHING THAT MAY OF BEEN MISSED.
ALSO, CLOSING ANY WINDOWS THAT HAVE BEEN OPENED AND LOCKING THE PROPERTY AT THE END.
